What is the right way to hold your breath when practicing?

1. Click the timer button as soon as you start inhaling and you stop the timer again when you start inhaling the second time. By doing so you effectively measure the time between both respirations. By postponing the impulse to inhale, one extends the trigger value of the respiratory center, which is the goal of the therapy.

2. Try to inhale slowly until the lungs have filled completely. Do not exaggerate or force the respiration. Just slowly filling up the lungs and then start holding the breath.

3. By exhaling slowly, the tight feeling is reduced and we can postpone inhaling a little longer, but never force it!
