What causes the (intense) muscle ache when you suffer from CHV?

Aching muscles, cramps and similar sensations happen because the process controlling the amount of lactic acid is off. The muscles try to compensate for the loss of CO2 by releasing lactic acid. This leads to muscle ache, cramps, uncontrollable trembling of certain muscles (like the eyebrow).
