Is chronic hyperventilation genetically inheritable?

In principal CHV is not genetically inheritable. But children unwittingly copy behavior and the way to approach certain situations from their parents. Also qualities of character are genetically determined. If these qualities are leading towards CHV, the child has - in a way - a genetically disposition to develop a CHV syndrome. If a parent is scared, the child automatically becomes afraid as well. The child senses the fear of the parent. In this way - often at a young age already - the basis for developing a CHV syndrome is established...!

This is the reason many children with parents suffering from CHV, also get to deal with this disease.
